A unique and original curriculum developed by IGES subject-matter experts — designed to deepen participants' understanding of global, regional and local political dynamics.
The IGES Geopolitical Academy is the first program of its kind in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The inaugural cycle ran from April 3 to April 29, 2025, with more than 20 participants; the second cycle concluded successfully in October 2025, and the third generation begins in March 2026.
The Academy helps participants deepen their understanding of the complex dynamics of global, regional and local politics — with particular focus on the geopolitical forces affecting Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lectures are delivered by leading experts in geopolitics, international relations and security studies.
How states and alliances project power — from hard and soft power to energy, economy and information as instruments of influence.
The great geopolitical shifts of the modern era and their reflection on the Balkans — from the Cold War to today's multipolar contest.
Bosnia and Herzegovina's position within global and regional politics — Euro-Atlantic integration, neighbours and strategic partners.

The program takes place in Sarajevo from March 24 to April 16, 2026, and accommodates a maximum of 25 participants. Upon successful completion, participants receive a Certificate of Completion of the Geopolitical Academy issued by IGES.
Awarded to all participants who successfully complete the program — recognized proof of advanced geopolitical literacy.
